Travel Guard, AIG’s travel services provider, is available as a single point of intake for AIG employees for all matters except technology support, including requests for financial assistance. Travel Guard representatives will ensure that inquiries are properly routed for prompt resolution.

AIG Office Status (Last Updated: Friday, September 22, 2017, 8:00 PM EDT)

Puerto Rico

The AIG office at 250 Munoz Rivera Avenue is now open. Your safety is our primary concern. Operations are expected to be business as usual on Monday, September 25. Please use discretion, assess personal safety and consult with your manager if there are concerns or questions. Keep in mind that travel bans may be in effect that may impact your commute. The office will close at 4pm and employees can dress business casual.

AIG has several outlets set up for employees requiring immediate assistance.

  • Employees who are in imminent danger are directed to contact local emergency services.
  • AIG Global Security may also be available to assist employees with emergency, security-related events that may impact their safety. Employees can contact AIG’s Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) at 212-458-2020 or by email at

We are pleased to inform you that the North Houston Contact Center is open to all employees, and certain employee teams have begun to move into the America Tower. The other four buildings at the Houston campus remain closed as work continues to restore them, and cannot be accessed by employees for safety reasons.

America Tower

Employees will move into the America Tower in scheduled phases based on business priorities. The building is being restacked to accommodate departments and groups from the other buildings that are now closed. For most employees, this means that you will be temporarily working on a different floor or in a different workspace than you did previously. For employees who currently work in America Tower, you will have an opportunity to come into the office to remove any personal items you may want to take with you from your current workstation and to secure or store confidential information. Certain employees will continue to work from home until other buildings on campus are restored. You will be notified by your manager about your work location and when you should come back into the office. Please do not come into the buildings or onto the property until you have been notified by your manager to do so.

Bright Horizons Back-Up Care Advantage Program®

If you have childcare considerations, the Bright Horizons Back-Up Care Advantage Program is a benefit that is available to all employees.* The program provides affordable care for children from 3 months through 12 years of age when regular arrangements are unavailable. Bright Horizons has locations throughout the U.S. and is available Monday through Friday. For more information, visit or call 877-242-2737.

*AIG employees are entitled to 10 days of care per year, for a copay of $25 per day, per care recipient with a family max of $40 per day.

Houston Campus Access and Parking

All AIG employees should park in the America Tower garage. There is no access from Allen Parkway, so please enter the campus from the West Dallas entrance.

AIG employees needing IT assistance should call the AIG Global Service Desk at 800-435-7457.

Accessing the AIG Network

For AIG employees, directions to access VPN can be found here, and instructions to access your virtual workspace via Citrix are located here. The Service Desk number is 800-435-7457.  For VALIC Financial Advisors and employees, your log-in instructions remain the same.  The VALIC Help Desk number is 877-248-2255.

IT Peripheral Needs (Updated September 21, 2017)

IT is currently in the process of gathering peripheral equipment (monitors, mouse, keyboards) from other campus buildings where it is safe to do so. We will continue this effort through next week. Once we have gathered the available devices we will inventory them and prepare for reallocation of these assets to those employees relocated to America Tower, as needed. We ask that you please wait to order any of these devices until Monday, October 2nd. After this date, you can access the IT self service portal for any peripheral needs, and our IT staff will fulfill the request accordingly.

To request an item after October 2nd, you can submit a request in ServiceNow by logging into IT Self Service Portal. Click the Request Services icon, under Categories click the “+” next to Employee Services, next select Computer Hardware and Accessories, then click the Computer Hardware and Accessories window. Complete the form and select the needed items, then select “add to cart” button at the bottom left of the page. After you have added the need items to the cart, click the Cart icon on the top of the page, then click View Cart button. Complete the form with your department information and click the Checkout button (bottom right-hand corner) when you are done. You will receive a confirmation message in green at the top of the page.

Please note the IT and Mobility Self-Service portals can only be accessed from within the AIG network.
